The problem with attempting to be social is that it doesn't leave a lot time for the important things in life: like reading every post on my flist in detail and reading fic and re-recording the podfic that Audacity had the audacity to mangle. Pretending to be a normal person is so very tiring!

In fandom news, the weddings have lost their novelty, but this particular picture tugs at my heartstrings just a teeny bit and I can sort of see where the tinhatters are coming from. ;) (Oh, tinhatters. Just remember: the Jared and Jensen that you proclaim to love? Are probably nothing at all like their real-life counterparts. Also, somewhat unrelated, I am still squicked by the "Omg, they need to pop out a billion pretty babies, like, nao" comments. Marriage ≠ baby-producing -- and hey, maybe D&G want to advance their careers before getting chained down, hmm?)

BEING SOCIAL IS SUCH HARD WORK, OMG. It drains so much of my energy!

The pic is sweeeeet, but it's true, I agree with everything you said. And I'm pretty squicked out by "they need to have babies now!" comments. Like, I get that they would produce beautiful children, but there's no pressure or anything! Who's to say they even want children?

I don't get why some people are so vocal about them popping out babies, either. What difference does it make if they have kids or not? Why is it fandom's business either way? They just got married. Let them have some time to themselves for a while. They may find, as my husband and I have, that not having children is okay, too.

I'm with you on the marriage not automatically meaning kids thing. :/

LOL. Why on Earth would you think this only applies to tinhats? Everything hets believe has been told to them by two actors who want to sell a certain image. Don't be so naive or conceited as to think that you know what they're really like any more than the hats do.

I agree with your squickage about the children thing. I don't understand why the hell marriage has to equal popping out kids and I know more than a few friends of mine agree on the subject. People don't need to have kids after they get married and to be honest, the obsession with the subject bothers me.

Marriage ≠ baby-producing

That's true enough though that's the kind of argument they tried with gay marriage. OTL
