(2) We're going to Florida for a week in mid-August...! A club/apartment/place with wireless♥. The thing I'm looking forward to the most is sitting on the balcony looking over the beach, listening to the ocean waves, soaking in the sea breeze, and basking in the loving glow of my computer screen. Now that is my idea of a vacation. XD

My computer addiction aside, anyone going to be in the area around that time? I think we're an hour or so away from Orlando; my mom's just like, you can go meet your internet friends if you want, and I'm like, LOL okay. Anything exciting to do in Orlando or Jacksonville? We'll be landing at the airport in Jacksonville and spending about a day there.

(3.5) I'm not one for sleepovers, but I would totally go to this pyjama party! Teukie's messy hair! Eunhyuk's bunny tail! ...Shindong.......I think I preferred the 'fro. ;;;; My favourite Shindong hair would have to be his Don't Don style (I liked Teukie's Don't Don hair the most as well).

(4) The great thing about finding a new fandom is that you have a whole slew of good!fic just waiting for you to discover (and these people do podfic too which means being able to listen to fic on my commute which is all sorts of awesome and I have successfully managed to contain my facial expression, though I end up biting my lip a lot, and contain fangirlish squees and it's still a little awkward listening to NC17 fics on the bus but whatever :D;;;). The bad thing is that OMG SO MUCH WORK I HAVEN'T EVEN TOUCHED AKLDJAS;FDS;SOSCREWED. I wish all this work would go away so that I can happily waste my time marathoning SGA non-stop without feeling guilty. D:

(5) To end this post in a more upbeat note...Henry's ^__^ face makes me ^__^ in response. Also, he fails in every language he tries to speak on-screen, lol♥.

1. Yesterday, a bird flew into the windshield as my mom was driving. It went WHUMP and I went EEK and I think it flew away (a;slkdjf I would just freak if it died on the hood of the car or something >___<). Between birds that don't watch where they're going, squirrels that can't make up their mind whether to get off the road or not, and just plain stupid drivers, I don't think I want to drive even after I do get my license (which, at the current rate, is, like, never).

2. So I was reading this article in Time Magazine about Chinese kids and basketball, and a photo caught my eye. Maybe all of the sports teams in Seigaku wear the same jacket. XD

In the same issue, there was also an article about the popularity of computer games in Korea and how they're called E-sports -- if game-Kyu ever decides to quit Super Junior, he could probably make just as much money playing World of Warcraft, heh.

3. There are these little itty bitty strawberries growing on our lawn. I kind of want to eat one, but I'm also afraid of being poisoned. X3

5. As I was walking through downtown to campus yesterday during rush hour, throngs of people were walking the opposite direction of me. They all came towards me in a huge wave of suits and briefcases and heels and blank faces behind sunglasses. It made me think of office jobs and my own future and how grey it seems.

6. There is something inexplicably amusing about Ryeowook with a gun (I couldn't stop LOL-ing when I first saw this picture XDD).

7. The only thing better than having Doushite Kimi Wo Suki Ni Natte Shimattandarou on loop is having the acapella version on loop. ♥

We saw an plane with a long streaming white tail of clouds. I pointed up and said, "That's called a contrail."
My head has been saturated with useless words lately because I've been studying for the GREs.

5. There are no such things as stupid questions, right?
Okay, so in Korean shows you often hear people refer to their friends by their names plus an "yi/ie" -- e.g. Sungminnie, Kibummie, Jaejoongie. Is the "ie" a form of endearment, indicating a close relationship, or is it actually the subject particle "이"? I can't recall if I've ever heard one person call another [insert name]-ie -- usually it's [insert name]-ah/yah ("ah" or "yah" depending on whether the ending letter is a consonant or a vowel, I assume). I could be totally off the mark. Idk. XD

Heechul is like the 3-D, Korean boy-band version of Atobe. They both have questionable taste in clothing, they're both divas in their own way, and look, Atobe is in a band, too. :D
So Heechul cosplaying as Atobe isn't so far fetched, is it...?

According to this compilation CD (are people actually buying this??), Heechul's favourite English song is 'Sk8er Boi" by Avril Lavigne. (LOL. At least his taste in Japanese music is better ;;;) But anyway, I think Heechul should come to Canada one day (preferably in the very near future) to meet his favourite singer (???) and bring his band buddies along too. :Db

I had the Prince of Tennis yakiniku episode on my computer for a while and I finally watched it today while eating dinner. That was a rather bad idea since I almost choked on my food several times (and almost lost my appetite several other times XD;). Anything the manga does, the anime does better (e.g. the volleyball episode, the billiards episode, the chibi episodes... well, the American arc not so much, but I like to pretend that arc never existed anyway). This episode shows what PoT!crack is all about. You get to see things like Oishi going batshit insane and developing devil-horn!bangs, Fuji waxing poetic over spicy sauce, Inui trying to kiss Atobe (the reason? He wanted to collect "data". DATA MY ASS), and speaking of asses, you also get to see a clear shot of Inui's bare, shiny, behind due to Tezuka's grabbie hands (someone has been taking lessons from Kangin...!). Oh, PoT♥. Can't get better quality crack anywhere else. I watched the Chinese sub, but the first part of the English sub can be found here. It's worth a watch, even if you haven't been keeping up with the OVAs (like me X3;). CRACK IS A UNIVERSAL LANGUAGE, OK. LIKE MUSIC. AND ART. :D...!

The previews made me feel a little nostalgic, even though I'd only skimmed the Nationals arc in the manga. The grand rescue of Ryoma via Atobe's helicopter (there was so an Atobe/Momo moment there; there was, there was!) was very LOL, but what was more LOL was Atobe's wig fluttering down from the helicopter. I'm curious about the scene with Ryoma in the rain and an anonymous Hyotei member! Was it Atobe who flicked Ryoma's cap? :O It looked like a flashback... Maybe I should watch the rest of the OVAs.

Other than this random episode of PoT and the recent subs of Junjou Romantica, I haven't been watching any anime at all (which contributes to my lack of excitement over the upcoming anime convention). :\ The Oofuri anime has long ended, but I've yet to finish watching. To be honest, I can't even remember which episode I left off on. D:

To switch to another topic completely... I've been listening to Cpop more frequently as of late. I've noticed that 90% of the Cpop songs (at least among the ~2GB of Cpop that I have) involve romantic love or something related. There seems to be a rather limited repertoire of song topics, which is a bit annoying (but only when I'm paying attention to the lyrics, which is actually quite rarely XD). The same could probably be said of Jpop and Kpop, but given that I can't understand Japanese or Korean (though I do notice all the "sarang"s, or however it's conjugated), I'm more willing to listen to these two genres. Isn't there anything else to sing about? :\ Or does the genre of pop necessarily mean "must include romantic-love content"?

Here's a song that falls under the Cpop category and does not involve the usual romantic-love drivel: S.H.E. (Ella) - Qiang Qiang. It made me cry, not the first time I heard it, but the first time I actually paid attention to the lyrics. Lyrics + translations can be found here.
