1) Since everyone's talking about Twilight:
I've read the first two books, about half of the third, and an awesomely cracked up summary of the fourth. I don't know whether to crack up or to be horrified by Breaking Dawn (I'm kind of leaning towards D:!! because I have a thing against babies but that's another issue for another day). I...don't think I will be finishing this series. Let's just say, if the main appeal of the books stems from inserting yourself into Mary Sue Bella's place, I would not want to be in her shoes for a good portion of Breaking Dawn.

2) Pyjama Party MV

...SUNGMIN/PINK SNAKE OTP!
It's interesting to note that both SJ-H MVs featured a group of girls...BUT THE SPARKLING GHEI CANNOT BE MASKED. SJ-T is about a different music genre, SJ-M is about a different language, SJ-KRY is about pretty boys singing pretty ballads, and SJ-H IS ABOUT THE SPARKLING GHEI. TRU FAX.

Okay, that's enough crack for one afternoon. I'm going back to marathoning SGA. But oh wait, SJ-M's Bravely Going Forward just came out. DILEMMA. :|

So this was totally a fluke. LJ was indeed banned and I somehow got on to it for one afternoon and one afternoon only. But it was okay and I didn't die from LJ deprivation (or anything close to it, really) -- I think using Facebook as a substitute and scribbling frantically in a notebook may have had something to do with it. ;)

It seems as if everyone is moving out of LJ, or at least setting up substitute journals. From what I've read about the situation, I think Six Apart did a pretty dumb thing and now backed themselves up in a corner. I haven't read the "protect-the-children"s side of the debaticle (and I doubt that I would support them), but it can't be denied that Six Apart has been receiving negative attention lately, and thereby losing business. Well, either way, I don't really feel the need to move off of LJ unless all sources of entertainment are gone from the site. That will be a sad (and hopefully faraway) day indeed.

I've been feeling terribly lethargic since getting back. I don't get up until after noon and even then, I feel as if I could gladly sleep the day away. Here's an example to illustrate the extent of my lethargicness (I was not aware this was a word until I looked it up just now): I have an unpaid credit card bill from nearly a week ago sitting next to my laptop right in my line of vision. I still have more than enough time to pay it, but under normal circumstances, I'm one of those people who pay their bills the day they receive them. All neat and organized. But now, there are bags and clothes strewn all over my room (not unlike the way they were when I moved back home from school three months ago) and I don't even feel like lifting a finger to clean up the mess. The list could go on, but I'd rather stop this depressing train of thought.

In other news, I have introduced my dad to the wonderful snack that is Pocky and I am hoping that he will fund my Pocky needs in the future (i.e. he will buy the Pocky and I will sneak off with half the contents).

I'm feeling kind of anxiety-ridden because, like last year, we haven't found a place to live for next semester, but unlike last year, I won't be around in August to look for a place. 2-bedroom places, surprisingly (at least to me), seem to be more difficult to find than a 4-bedroom place. Then again, there are loads of 2-bedroom basements, but we'd rather see the sunlight on a regular bases, thanks.

I've found out that the most optimal time to listen to audiobooks is while drawing, rather than on the commute. I find that I get headache-y when I listen to audiobooks for too long on the bus. :S I'm currently working my way through Patricia Wrede's Enchanted Forest series (for a second time, technically speaking, since I've read them once a long time ago) -- I'm thinking of listening to Good Omens next since everyone raves about it and I wasn't able to really get into the book.

So anyway, fanart (may as well be prolific as possible before school starts again! :x I think I may have drawn more in one month than all of last year put together...) This is Hallwil (or Halvil in the licensed version) from Yamane Ayano's Crimson Spell manga. Fantasy + BL = awesome combination. ;) I highly recommend this series, but the English licensed version translated the main character's name into something...not so flattering. :\ I might upload all the scanlated chapters later.
wizard of the non-HP variety )

So has anyone caved and read the last chapter of Deathly Hallows? If you like iffy spoilers, go here. ;)
Personally, I have no idea if it's genuine or not. It looks genuine, but someone in the comments proved that it's quite easy to fake with Photoshop. Due my own aversions of certain ships, I sincerely hope it's not real (I'm very much a big fan of no-established-pairings-let's-let-the-fans-use-their-imaginations ending). Also, the last bit seems rather...anticlimatic all things considered.

And last but not least, since it's the 16th on your side of the world already, happy birthday, [livejournal.com profile] jaig <3!

I don't imagine I can sleep comfortably knowing that there are currently three large spiders on my bedroom ceiling.

I was sitting peaceably at my desk, typing away. I happen to glance up, and what do I see? A big, fat spider in the corner of the ceiling. I look a few decimeters over and I see two more. I am now looking over my shoulder constantly out of paranoia. I don't believe these spiders are as friendly as Charlotte seeing as 1) I am not a pig and therefore cannot communicate with spiders, clearly, and 2) I asked my mother to kill one of their cousins (who was also inconveniently lounging on my ceiling) two days ago.

OMG PLZ MAKE THEM GO AWAY. T______T

ETA: Two of them are moving closer. Holy crap.
Screw this, I'm sleeping in the guest room tonight!

It's the second time in a week that a sparrow almost took off my head. I must look like a fool for ducking when a sparrow flits anywhere in the general vicinity, but I'm telling you, those two came very close to my face. I am now scared for my life. Also, the pigeons around this area don't know their place -- I am forced to walk around them because they don't get out of the way even when people aim kicks at them (I'm too scared to kick them XD; I think it'd hurt more if a pigeon flew into my head compared to a sparrow...)
