My belated "I'm back" post

So this was totally a fluke. LJ was indeed banned and I somehow got on to it for one afternoon and one afternoon only. But it was okay and I didn't die from LJ deprivation (or anything close to it, really) -- I think using Facebook as a substitute and scribbling frantically in a notebook may have had something to do with it. ;)
It seems as if everyone is moving out of LJ, or at least setting up substitute journals. From what I've read about the situation, I think Six Apart did a pretty dumb thing and now backed themselves up in a corner. I haven't read the "protect-the-children"s side of the debaticle (and I doubt that I would support them), but it can't be denied that Six Apart has been receiving negative attention lately, and thereby losing business. Well, either way, I don't really feel the need to move off of LJ unless all sources of entertainment are gone from the site. That will be a sad (and hopefully faraway) day indeed.
I've been feeling terribly lethargic since getting back. I don't get up until after noon and even then, I feel as if I could gladly sleep the day away. Here's an example to illustrate the extent of my lethargicness (I was not aware this was a word until I looked it up just now): I have an unpaid credit card bill from nearly a week ago sitting next to my laptop right in my line of vision. I still have more than enough time to pay it, but under normal circumstances, I'm one of those people who pay their bills the day they receive them. All neat and organized. But now, there are bags and clothes strewn all over my room (not unlike the way they were when I moved back home from school three months ago) and I don't even feel like lifting a finger to clean up the mess. The list could go on, but I'd rather stop this depressing train of thought.
In other news, I have introduced my dad to the wonderful snack that is Pocky and I am hoping that he will fund my Pocky needs in the future (i.e. he will buy the Pocky and I will sneak off with half the contents).

So sorry about going not responding on MSN the other day! :( I had to discuss some housing stuff with my friend who's currently subletting my place for August and then I had to get offline because of work the next day. One of these days, we will have a proper long conversation!

Date: 2007-08-30 01:14 am (UTC)And don't worry about it. :) We're all busy these days - I read my flist on filter and barely touch much of anything else, so. But yes, we shall have to have a good talk some time!

Date: 2007-08-26 11:27 pm (UTC)As for the... thing with LJ, I'm trying to stay low and out of it. ^^; Too much fire, and it constantly seemed like things will blow up. However, I want to enjoy my time on LJ, with my flist if I can, despite changes. *flails*
I've been very lethargic all week. x_x I hope I get more energy when classes start up again. TOMORROW NOOOOO~! *flails*
I want someone to fund my Pocky needs. XD That's so awesome!

Date: 2007-08-29 10:01 pm (UTC)Yes, exactly! I've stuck my roots in LJ and I'm not feeling up to moving!
Your classes start so early! Mine start on the 10th -- but then again, our exams end really late.
Are you feeling any more energized now??

Date: 2007-08-30 04:15 am (UTC)Not... really. Slowly being drained I think, so once it hits the weekend, I fear I'll not wake up until afternoon hours! XD;;
