I bought a set of watercolour pencils in China, and this is my second time trying them out (the result of the first try is too awful to post).




This is the result of much Photoshopping. Don't know what I'd do without Photoshop! I thought watercolour pencils would be easier to control compared to their paint counterparts, but apparently not. Some parts are hard to blend, and it's difficult to add another layer of colour on top. Also, the colour that comes out of the pencil does not necessarily stay the same once water is applied. =__=;;

Oh wow, prettyyy! The pink contrasts nicely with the yellow and I like how you've shaded her lips.

Is that the actual texture of the paper or a PS filter? Either way it looks really good :)

Thank you so much! <3<3 I'm really happy you like the contrast because I was afraid I went a little overboard (the non-PS'ed version was awfully bland). I used watercolour paper, so yep, that's the actual texture.

I don't know but I think this is pretty awesome. ^______^ I don't know how to use all those fancy things 'real artists' use, so whatever they do with them is rather impressive!

I have fancy things from my art class and I really want to use them (charcoal and pastels *o*), but I don't want to make a mess. ^^;

Charcoal and pastels are awfully messy to work with (and tricky to control too), but if you have the chance, you may as well try them out!

I've only worked with them once in art class for a drawing. I keep saying I want to take pictures of my drawings from art class but I keep forgetting! *makes a freakin' post-it now*
