Yep, yep, and yep! Hurrah for getting 8! That book convinced me that tomato sandwiches are awesome and also inspired me to keep a journal (which eventually evolved into Livejournal ;)).

alsdfalsj I think I've read that fic, like, three times. SO AWESOME. \o/ Have you read all of the sequels/spin-offs/whatnot? Not as good as the original, obvs, but some of them are pretty fun.

Yay, another Admin series fan! \o/ I want to order what has been printed so far in book format to take with me on my trip to China, but I'm afraid someone might find it (e.g. family members, airport security check --> the ones who rifle through your belongs) and that may result in an awkward conversation. XD;;;

Oooh, China, where to? Sounds very exciting. At least people at the other end won't be able to read it! :D

And yeah, my mother has the habit of ruffling through my bookshelf to find new things to read. It was bad enough flat out refusing to let her look through my manga collection. She got very indignant. :D;

Yunnan province, Shanghai, etc. We're doing some touristy stuff and visiting relatives. :) I'm going to be mostly cut-off from the internet for three weeks, so that part will be a bit tough, heh.

Luckily, my parents rarely go into my room while I live at school, but I know what you mean about keeping parents out of one's (BL, especially ;)) manga collection! It's awkward to explain why one has volumes upon volumes of what is essentially 2D gay porn, no matter how open-minded one's parents are. XD

I love Shanghai! Oh man, the last time I was in China I went crazy with the internet/LJ withdrawal. I totally braved one of those dodgy net-cafes with all the hardcore gamers. And of course, they block LJ so that didn't help. D:

ME TOO. :| That's why I can't go anywhere without internet, haha. Chinese internet cafes are so sketchy and smoky and they're really not that comfortable to be in for lengthy amounts of time -- but hey, desperate times, desperate measures and all that!

LJ was blocked when I went back two years ago, but I know someone who's in Beijing right now and she seems to have sporadic access to LJ. Maybe the Great Firewall of China is letting LJ slip through now because it's owned by a Russian company, heh. *crosses fingers for LJ access*

I think I may have, but don't remember! I know I have the book somewhere, but haven't seen it in years. :D Swordspoint was just such a painful, good read. Hurt in all the right ways.
