SGA fanart

Thinking about grad school has been driving me up the wall, so I decided to take a nice and long break by bringing out the watercolours. As always, after finishing a painting, I swear off watercolours for another several months. One day, I'll get the hang of this medium...one day!
I love love love the stained glass windows on the different sets, especially the balcony windows. After reading
yin_again's Complementary Colours a few months back, I couldn't shake the thought of John standing against a stained glass window, seemingly with wings, and I itched to try my hand at painting it.
I did this painting pretty much without any references and took a lot of artistic liberties, so excuse the inaccuracies please~ (I also went a little nuts with Photoshop because 1) the scan came out blurry given that the paper was bigger than my scanner bed and 2) I got tired of colouring after a while and started sloshing colours around. That was kind of a bad idea. ;;;)

I want to watch last night's episode of SGA, but at the same time, I really don't want to (because I'll end up raging at the screen and then scrounging for fic and then I'll be useless for the rest of the evening and nothing will get done). Ah, dilemma.

But. . but. . .it has *Bill Nye*. Who doesn't love that man? And a (sadly aged) Dave Foley! Watch! Watch!

Date: 2008-11-23 02:28 am (UTC)I must confess I cringed my way through much of the episode. There were several parts that totally pinged me the wrong way, but I won't spoil it for you in case you haven't watched it yet!

Date: 2008-11-22 11:57 pm (UTC)Though, I completely understand swearing off watercolors. Watercolor is detrimental to the sanity of society.
