Fanart: The angel's new wings

fishpatrolYesterday, I drew this and then, as I was about to fall asleep a related image popped into my head (and wouldn't leave me alone until I drew it). Rest of commentary under the cut because there's kind of a reference to something that may have happened in SPN 4x22 (Lucifer Rising) and I try to be kind to spoilerphobes. ;)
It wasn't explicitly stated that Castiel lost his angelic status in Lucifer Rising when he rebelled against the archangels, but if he did and he was all sad!face about it, Dean would totally come up with a brilliant plan to get him his wings back and rope Sam into helping.
And this is what would happen if Sam got creative and decided to show that he could do more than just colour inside the lines.
