I have a huge fondness for a really awful TV series that aired in 97/98 called "Once a Thief", which picks up where an equally bad movie with the same main cast left off. It had a really delightfully quirky cast of writers, occasionally terrible acting and writing (I don't think I've seen the show at all since it went off the air, so my memories, they are a lot fuzzy) and it borrowed heavily from the Hong Kong school of action. Ritchings played one half of an assassin duo who were sort of straight men to each other, serious professionals about what they did but who talked philosophy while they did it.
Basically, the show was total crack, probably deserved to be cancelled, but I love it and there you have it :P
Ritchings amused me greatly as an undertaker on Slings and Arrows as well, although the show didn't take with me and I don't know if his role was one-off or not.
