With Number Six. I will let technical aspects slide if: 1. The characterization is good. 2. The plot is interesting. 3. Interesting Premise (world, etc.) This isn't as important, but will keep me reading if 1 or 2 is there.
I think because of this I've read through a lot that people would consider badfic, but found them pretty enjoyable.
I will backclick if there's bad dialog, because it's usually indicative of bad characterization.
For Podfic. I just pick stories that I've enjoyed.
