Dead, but how do you prevent a virus that doesn't exist yet? Honestly I don't believe that one OS is "safer" than the other. It's a matter of what kind of person is using the computer. We've cycled through so many computers in the past 15 years and have had maybe 2-3 crashes and none were because of a virus.
