um, to be honest, you're not going to notice any major changes from leopard -> snow leopard. a few minor changes (i can't even remember what) and mostly just a lot of backend stuff. i don't think there'd be any program affected, no.

i hope the transfer goes well, too! i've been curious about time machine's functions in that regard since my hard drive died. =X in theory, it should work magic, so... ^_^;;
