My eyes are burning and my wrist is carpel-tunnel...ing. That's what happens when one spends too time CG-ing with a mouse, I suppose. I have a term test on Monday and instead of reviewing, I am playing around with Photoshop. At this rate, I will be spamming LJ like mad with drawings in a month's time (that's when my exams are, you see). But on the plus side, I think I'm improving a bit with this whole colouring thing (though I still have to work on staying inside the lines while colouring...)








Both original sketches were drawn nearly two years ago -- even so, I'm still kinda proud of them. :x I think this colouring style works fairly well with the Naruto sketch, but I think it's too...bold/vibrant/bright? *gestures with hand* for the Soubi one -- perhaps that one would look better in lighter pastels...? Will have to experiment again some other time.

I still don't know where shadows are supposed to go. I don't understand this whole light source thing. TT___TT (like, I understand in theory, but when it comes to application...*is lost*)

Watched the Okane Ga Nai OVA today: Ayase is the uke-iest uke that ever uked. And his eyes are vaguely frightening (the size, the blue...!). Oh, and also, I want the twins♥.

ahhh, i like both of the coloring. the first one is very vibrant, very cool. i like the colors of the soubi one *squee*, though his hair might be a bit too yellow.

Thanks so much! I'm very glad you like the choice of colours! And you're right, his hair is a little too yellow/bright -- it was duller before, but then I added another, brighter, layer to it (I was hoping for a more shiny effect) -- but...oopsie. ^^;;

I think Kanou is a bit nicer in the anime than the manga (or maybe he's just more bipolar XD;), but Ayase is just as uke-y as ever. The OVA's not super, but entertaining enough. ;)

Thank you so much! ^__^ I marvel at how fast you're plowing through Naruto! Are you going to watch the fillers at all? I heard they went on for quite a while before the Time Skip arc. (I stopped watching Naruto back around episode 120-something and now it's too daunting to pick up again because there are too many episodes XD;)

I'll probably watch the filler when I have nothing else to watch. I seem to get caught up on my other shows fairly easily, and a lot of them have just ended/are ending soon. I'm all caught up on Shippuuden now.

You really only need to watch up to episode 136 in order to start Shippuuden. It's not too much to watch, if you want to pick it up again. ^_~

We had to do a thing for my art class a couple semesters ago on shadows. Gah so difficult! XD;;
