What about when you're talking to someone in English? Do you still think in Chinese and then do a quick (automatic, I guess?) translation before you speak? And what about when writing/reading something in English? Say you're reading a fic, and you're thinking, "wow, this part is so well-written" or "LOL, WHAT TRASH", are these comments in English or Mandarin? I hope you don't mind my brain-picking! X3;;; I find bilingualism + cognition fascinating, especially if the person is equally, or near equally, fluent in both languages.
